Here is a little background and video from CNN --> http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/07/world/ebola-virus-q-and-a/
Ebola has been around since the mid-1970's. It is thought to have been transmitted from animals to humans but now humans can transmit the virus from human to human contact.
Here is a little more information from NPR talking about the mutation -- > http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html?action=1&t=1&islist=false&id=343734184&m=344193402&live=1
Here is a nice little summary from the NY Times --> http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/07/31/world/africa/ebola-virus-outbreak-qa.html?_r=0
Myself, I am not afraid of the Ebola virus, but my good friend who travels internationally for this work doesn't share my opinion. He believes this could be much larger outbreak than ones in the past due to the fact that people can travel. In the audio I supplied, the transmission of the virus is transmitted.
My question to you, is this something you believe can have an impact on your life now or in the future? Do you think this could be the next AID's - no vaccine. Will modern medicine and science prevail and find a cure or vaccine or do you think this is something that only affects a continent across the oceans and we don't have anything to fear; therefore, not much money goes to finding the vaccine or cure.
