I received many comments on what exactly is fracking? Well I found this nice little article in the Wall Street Journal regarding fracking water and the recycling of this water. The main concern with fracking is the "dirty" water and how to dispose of it properly. This article gives a couple of ideas. Please read and tell me your thoughts.
Fracking http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203937004578077183112409260.html Last week in the News-Herald it was announced that First Energy's Eastlake facility was going to be converted into natural gas. I was so happy to read the story. First the tax dollars for the city of Eastlake and Willoughby Eastlake Schools will be preserved as well as the jobs for the local employees. Then I began to think, how the environment would be impacted as well - No more flyash and harmful gases. The energy that is produced from burning natural gas as opposed to coal is also much more effiecient. Win Win.
Here is the article to read: http://www.news-herald.com/articles/2012/11/08/news/doc509c224b29aaa721746694.txt After hearing and reading the goods news, i also began to think how else can government regulation and the free market combine to be such a sweet thing again - so my question is, can you think of anywhere else where news business (markets) can arise from existing issues that the local community, state of national governmetn is dealing with. |
