This past weekend, I traveled to Monticello and the home of Thomas Jefferson. There is I took a nice tour of the grounds and estate. There were three historians who took you around to the various areas of the grounds. You questions is probably - how is Monticello and Seven Ideas that Shook the Universe related? Well while on the tour, the one historian spoke about Thomas Jefferson's extensive writings and one thing in particular "Shook my World", was that Thomas Jefferson believed that every generation (roughly every 19 years) that the Constitution should be "rewrote" or reexamined to the current generation. That shook my world. Imaging with the present day Congress trying to rewrite the Constitution.
My question to you - is there anything that you have encountered or learned that really "shook your world" - please elaborate.
