The scientific side has been pretty much decided - 97% of climate scientific agree that climate change is happening and the main cause is of the human nature. Here is a funny look from John Oliver --> google John Oliver on Climate also here is a Scientific American article regarding this subject as well --> http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-to-determine-the-scientific-consensus-on-global-warming/
As to give the view to the climate deniers, per Time --> http://time.com/3445231/climate-denier-settled-science/
Many students asked me of my position on this issues, as a very big believe in scientific evidence, I must side with it is happening and its real. I always refer back to the video from Mechanical Universe on Inertia. In that video, it looked at Galileo and how the "powers" of the time were against Galileo and the idea that Copernicus had that the Sun was the center of the solar systems. Galileo for his believes was under "house arrest" because he refused to denounce scientific evidence.
This begins us up to the current, this last week in the news. President Obama and China have agreed to reduce greenhouse gases (this is a very good thing, since China and US are the #1 and #2 in the world by far). As always there is a catch, when two governments agree to a idea between, there usually is a treaty to bind the agreements. With today current political climate, it doesn't look like that will happen --> http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/energy-environment/224335-if-not-a-historic-agreement-then-a-historic-step-obama
Do you believe that there will ever be a reduction of greenhouses gases in your lifetime? Do you think there is a solution? If so, what is it.
As you can tell, there was been an explosion of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Where do you fall in the debate? Why do you think there are so many climate deniers?
Do you believe that China and the US are serious or is this just another political move?
