You are coming to the end of your highschool careers. I have had many class discussions regarding hard work and effort. I know I keep harping but I really hope you really understand that it isn't as easy and just showing up isn't good enough. Here is an article that we discussed briefly in class. It is true. I my short teaching career and my personal experience - I have seen this over and over. Please take a look at his article http://neatoday.org/2013/03/05/why-girls-are-outperforming-boys-in-school/

thats fun and all but the article failed to mention that those 27% of males are making about $55,000 starting pay right out of collage and the girls are making about $47,000. thats $8000 less, i wonder what this female author thinks about that.

Actually it did say that woman make less, also the point of the article wasn't how much people are making out of college besides the fact that you make more with a college degree.

The statistics that this article provided are frightening, and respect has to be shown for how far women in our society have come. Achieving colossal things such as; woman's suffrage, equality in the work force, and recently the ability to fight in battle alongside men, the ceiling that has been restricting women from being an equal member of your society has definitely been shattered. With that being said, I feel like more girls are inspired to educate themselves and become successful because now the playing field is as equal as its ever been.

This is a very interesting article. According to the studies in the article, it says that girls outperform boys in many areas of education due to their effort and determination to succeed. However, I believe that if boys put their minds to it, I think that they can accomplish just as much as girls can. Even though this is all based on research and studies, I believe it all comes down to the kind of person you are and what your attitude it like. If you have the motivation and determination to achieve something, you can do it and succeed in life, no matter if you're male or female.

i believe that how much effort you put in is what your outcome results are so the harder you work the better for yourself and your future.everyone should give 100 percent everyday to succeed and make something of themselves.no matter what race, gender, or anything we all have the same opportunities to do something in the world.

For so long women were denied the ability to have an education but finally achieved the right to have one. People are more likely to work harder at something that wasn't just handed to them so even though everyone has the right to an education now, I think there is still a subconscious instinct in women to achieve all that's possible and to always do the best they can. However, everyone has the ability to do well and be successful. Like the article said, girls aren't smarter than boys, both can be successful and achieve goals in their life.
